information

MIXTUR AT PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH AGUSTÍ CHARLES, a pedagogical project addressed to primary school students.
The best way of making known new music is to enter within it into its very architecture and be able to create a new piece from the knowledge of its parameters, concepts and ideas with the objective of finding new original elements. In fact, isn’t this the same as to apply an imitation system to develop a creative process? Precisely!
All this process is carried out in the classroom where composer Agustí Charles and the teaching staff led by Assumpta Valls do an open and creative reading of the piece Border zone to find the musical materials (patterns, tones, colors, rhythms, etc.) that should serve students as example to seek musical elements from what will be their piece. Once the materials are observed, searched and established they are delivered to classrooms from different primary schools in which very few students can read music. Students will be able to create a new musical model by themselves that should not necessarily coincide with that of the author by imitation and the realization of elements. Though they reflect in it, the aim is that students achieve their own model creating a new piece in which their personality determines its final form.
