The Improvisation Workshop Mixtur 2021 will be taught by the french double-bassist, improviser and composer Joëlle Léandre.

General program

The workshop will take place from October 6 to 9, 2021. Joëlle Léandre will adapt the content of the workshop depending on the number of the attendees and the instruments they play. The workshop will consist of the following activities:

3 working sessions (October 6, 7 and 8 from 10.00 h to 13.30 h).
Final concert that will be part of the Festival Mixtur 2021 official programme (October 9 from 10.00 h to 13.30 h).
Joëlle Léandre will give a Master Class in which she will present her work as improviser and composer.
Master Classes given by teachers from other workshops are also part of the programme.

Enrolment

The deadline to apply for the workshop is April 25th 2021. The participants must fill in the online form , indicating the instrument with which will carry out the workshop, with:

A short biography.
A video recording where the candidate performs an improvisation.

The final results will be published on our website throughout May.

ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS: 140€
AUDITORS: 80€

The enrollment includes free access for both, students and visiting students, to all the activities and concerts of Festival Mixtur of Barcelona 2021 taking place at Fabra i Coats-Fàbrica de Creació.
