Since its foundation in 2009 the ensemble yields innovative artistic impulses, shifting the focus on the reflection of the (post)-internet-society with its digital-medial manifestations, shaping the development in new music towards trans-medial, theatrical and performative forms of production.
The ensemble regularly performs at renowned festivals such as Ultraschall Festival Berlin, Donaueschinger Musiktage, Musica Strasbourg, Warsaw Autumn, Ruhrtriennale, Spor Festival in Aarhus, éclat Festival Stuttgart, Kunstfestspiele Herrenhausen, Tonlagen Festival Hellerau, Darmstädter summer courses.

The evening combines aspects of club culture, performance, video and avant-garde music to create a new reality in pieces by Brigitta Muntendorf and Michael Beil, both exploring the space between music, theatre, and video amidst the real and the virtual.
Carolas Bauckholt fresh and humoristic musical language will permeate her piece for cello, piano and video. Ensemble Garage, since its creation, has focused on bringing the works of younger composers to life. The evening will include four premiers by Itziar Viloria, Ioannis Angelakis, Frnacisco Dominguez and Piyawat Louilarpprasasert .
