By the origins of our species Sound and Body have been closely connected either in rituals, celebrations or purely artistic manifestations. Indeed, Sound awakens the Body the need to move, to express and to respond to external stimulus. On the other hand, our body can produce sound through human voice or drumming on itself to name just a few examples.
Festival Mixtur, Sâlmon and L’Afluent invites us to rethink and question the limits of this ancient connection from today’s perspective. Can Sound and Body become one same thing? What space would be reserved exclusively to one of them, whether that space exists? Where does possible end and impossible begin?
