Is newly created music at the crossroads of going out of tune, not just from the beautiful tone of the instruments whose paradigm it abandoned a long time ago, but from the exclusively sound medium as such? Prefaced by Peter Ablinger, this book addresses some issues related to the present and future of newly created music, and especially in its relationship with its own limits and other areas such as image, words, conceptuality or the sociopolitical. . Four thematic vectors (the outside, the limit, the everything and the now) make up a content whose intention is, above all, to raise questions whose possible answers are found more in the field of artistic creation than in the textuality itself from which it is expressed. they formulate.
Biography
ALBERTO BERNAL. Composer and sound artist of classical formation and several influences, with works framed near the turning point between traditional concert situations and other disciplines like installation, performance of videoart. His work is, above all, a search and deconstruction of borders: between the aesthetic and sociopolitical realms, or between the different conventional perceptual fields (sound, image, word, quotidian perception). Since 2023 he is professor at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid.
