The string quartet is one of the most emblematic ensembles. Among other reasons this is because its history that has given rise to a wide repertoire full of masterpieces (since the time of Haydn). In this concert we will be able to enjoy a part of his contemporary music career. With a classical piece such as Ligeti’s  second quartet we shall listen to a good example of the micro polyphonic work that the composer was exploring during the 60’s. Chronologically would be followed by Carbonell’s quartet in which is of great importance the sound gesture and a relatively open approach of the piece. Having reached the 21st century Fagin reveales a quartet in which plasticity, the images and the energy ( as the Universe) have a very relevant role. And already in current times we shall enjoy two world premieres created by students of Mixtur Composition and Sound Experimentation Workshop 2023 which contribute to the historical evolution of this chamber ensemble.
