Music produced with electricity, despite having a history of about a century, has given rise to an immense variety of practices and aesthetics around the world. The term “electroacoustic music” encompasses these practices, among which we find, for example, acousmatic music, mixed music and the soundscape. Although many Mixtur concerts include pieces with electronics, we present here a concert dedicated especially to this music. More specifically, we focus on acousmatic music, which is designed to be heard through speakers without having a visual reference of a performer or the sound source. This invites us to listen to the sound and appreciate it “for itself”, without relating it to a concept or an object. In fact, it is common to listen to acoustic music by closing your eyes to fully immerse yourself in it. The program includes multi-channel works that will create an immersive experience, using the latest technologies in the field of sound spatialization.
