Bio

Composer, director and teacher. He is the artistic director of Plural Ensemble and Professor of Composition at the Queen Sofia Higher School of Music. He has performed at the main festivals worldwide dedicated to contemporary music. In 2023 he premiered Concert for horn, Seven Japanese Sketches, Written in blue and his latest opera Die Judith von Shimoda, this last one in Bregenz Festival and in Viena acclaimed by critics and audience. in 2025 he will be resident composer in Grafenegg Festival and in Berlin’s UdK.
