Festival Mixtur is announcing an open call to apply to the Improvisation Workshop Mixtur 2025.

Addressees

The Improvisation Workshop Mixtur 2025 is aimed at both students and professionals of improvisation, of any age and nationality.

Workshop Teacher

The teacher of this edition will be pianist, composer and improviser Franziska Baumann.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General programmeGeneral

The workshop will take place from October 16th to 18th, 2025.

Franziska Baumann will adapt the content of the workshop depending on the number of the attendees and the instruments they play. The workshop will consist of the following activities:

3 working sessions (October 16th, 17th and 18th).
Participation in the final workshop concert, that will be part of the Festival Mixtur 2025 official programme (October 18th).
Masterclass in which Franziska Baumann will present her work as performer and improviser.
Lectures and masterclasses given by: Natasha Barrett // Erin Busch // Agustí Charles // Catherine Lamb // Raquel García-Tomás // Luis Naón // Rebecca Saunders and other artists to be confirmed.
Free access to the majority of Festival Mixtur’s activities.

APPLICATION

The application deadline is June 6th, 2025. (Extended deadline).

The workshop has 15 vacancies available.

To register, please fill in the application form attaching:

A short biography (600 characters with spaces).
A video where the candidate performs a solo improvisation.
A video where the candidate performs a group improvisation.

Selected applicants will be contacted via email during the month of May. After receiving confirmation, applicants will have up to 15 days to complete payment of enrollment.

REGISTRATION FEES

STUDENTS: 160€
VISITING STUDENTS: 50€

General conditions

Failure to meet the payment deadline will result in the loss of your reservation to participate in the Workshop.
It will not be possible to get your deposit back once you receive registration confirmation.
Participation in this call implies the acceptance of these terms and conditions.
