Joan B Domènech, plastic artist

Born in Vinaròs in 1974.

Multidisciplinary artist, musician, cabinetmaker and plastic artist.

Degree in music from the School of Music of Catalonia.

In the beginning he worked wood from a professional perspective as a cabinetmaker, acquiring deep and varied knowledge of applied design and treatment of painted processes, which he applied and later develops in his plastic facet.

This new artistic aspect is the result of the passion for painting and the observation of artists such as Barceló or Tàpies, among others. And from which the “Harmonization of Materials” exhibition emerged, at the Art Gallery of the H10 of Barcelona in 2016.

The plastic and photographic work of the multifaceted pianist, composer and playwright Carles Santos has also been a source of great inspiration with whom he has worked on several of his projects and to which he dedicated the exhibition “Santos, pírate!”, At the exhibition hall of the Caixa Vinaròs Foundation in 2017.

Currently, he teaches at the Superior Conservatory of Music of the Liceu in Barcelona and at the Music Conservatory of Manresa and is a freelance performer in various orchestras and formations.
