Carola Bauckholt (*1959) After working at Theater am Marienplatz (TAM) in Krefeld, she studied with Mauricio Kagel at the Cologne University of Music from 1978 to 1984. 1985 founding of the Thürmchen Verlag, 1991 founding of the Thürmchen Ensemble together with Caspar Johannes Walter. 2013 Member of the Akademie der Künste in Berlin, since 2021 Director of the Music Section. 2015-2024 Professor of Composition with a focus on contemporary music theater at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. Member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts since 2020.
