In a long process that began during Romanticism, art and artist have become detached from external factors imposed by third parties and have won an autonomy that have changed their relationship with the environment and has opened up an immense field of individual aesthetics and unique languages. In this context GIO Symphonia and Frames Percussion present works that confront tradition and modernity as Polyphonic Tango by Alfred Schnittke or Altar de neón, by Gabriela Ortiz, and they introduce us to post-minimalist language and the atmosphere of authors like Ludovico Einaudi, Ólafur Arnalds, Hania Rani, Max Richter and David Lang.

Bio

FRAMES Percussion is an ensemble devoted to new music, committed to contemporary creation through innovative projects. With over ten years of activity, it has collaborated with festivals like Mixtur, GREC, ENSEMS, and CNDM, and is ensemble-in-residence at Palau de la Música Catalana (2024–26). Its repertoire spans iconic works and premieres by today’s composers. The group has released albums on Neu Records and Phonos, and won the Ernst von Siemens Ensemble Prize 2024.
