information
The best way to get to know contemporary music is by immersing yourself in it and creating new music. Enter its architecture and, from knowing its parameters, concepts and ideas, be able to develop a new work with original elements. The Mixtur Festival offers Primary students and teachers the experience of listening to and creating contemporary music at the hands of the composer Pablo Carrascosa and the improviser Jordi Pallarès, who will intervene in three different moments of the process to lead , improve and develop the works created by the students. With the piece L4DD by Pablo Carrascosa, and based on the didactic proposals provided to them by Mixtur, the students of the La Roda de Terrassa school do an open and creative reading in order to find the musical materials (motives, timbres, colors, rhythms, etc.) that serve as an example to elaborate their piece. Although they look at the work of the composer, the aim is for the students to achieve their own model, creating a new work in which their personality is expressed. In the case of the Serralavella school in Ullastrell, the practice of different exercises led by the improviser Jordi Pallarès introduce and awaken in the students the pleasure of collective improvisation, achieving a more active listening and a better music production Finally, the resulting works from the two schools will be performed at the Festival.
