This concert for cello by prestigious player Eric-Maria Couturier takes us into a varied repertoire which brings together youth and experience. First, a work of reference in the cello repertoire, Ligeti’s Sonata, in the frame of the tribute we pay to the composer this year on the centenary of his birth. Then we will listen to two miniatures written by participants of the Composition Workshop, and a work written by one of the teachers of this workshop, Isabel Mundry. Finally, Couturier will offer us an improvisation, a field he has been cultivating since forever and which also nurtures his technique and expressiveness.
