With this program I’d like to present various ways in which the violin and voice of a single performer create colorful imagery. All pieces are carefully crafted using technology and electro-acoustics in a subtle way. Each one works differently with psychoacoustics and space, allowing the audience to immerse into ambient worlds of chanting, intimacy, vulnerability, mysticism and beauty.

Biliana Voutchkova is a dynamic, thoroughly engaged interdisciplinary artist, composer-performer, violinist & curator with a truly personal, unconventional artistic language. Through the prism of listening, her early training in classical music and the years of development as contemporary artist-performer, she explores states of spontaneity and intuitive resonance embodied in her multifaceted activities. Her work includes performances of major contemporary solo violin pieces and her original work presented as concerts/long durational formats, multidisciplinary collaborations and installations.
