Festival Mixtur Alícia’s Prizes finalist 2019

Festival Mixtur has been selected finalist of Alícia’s Prizes 2019 from the Academy of Catalan Music in the “interdiscipline” category. Alícia’s Prizes are the annual awards given by the music field in Catalonia. The award ceremony will take place in Vic’s Atlàntida on September 21st coinciding with Vic’s Mercat de Música Viva.

Alícia’s Prizes aim is to promote, highlight and give value the music produced within catalan territory and it’s activity without distinction of genre or style.The awards are given annually to projects or proposals that stand out by their excellence and help promote creative, artistic, cultural and social music values. The awards finalists have been chosen by academics and entities from the Academy of Catalan Music by a series of votes.

The “interdiscipline” award acknowledges the fusion of music with other art forms by an artist or project. The nominees for this category have been:

  • Suite TOC Núm. 6, Les Impuxibles and Sala Beckett’s production with Clara Peya music.
  • Maremar, Dagoll Dagom production with arrangements and new creations by Andreu Gallén, inspired by Lluís Llach music.
  • Festival Mixtur. Music research and interdisciplinary creation Festival.
  • Je suis narcissiste, Òpera de Butxaca i Nova Creació, Teatre Lliure, Teatro Español and Teatro Real production, with Raquel García Tomás music.
