One of the winners of "Franco Abbiati"  Prize 2015,  Quartetto Maurice was founded in 2002 in Turin. In 2009 they graduated at the Special Quartet Course of the Fiesole School of Music (Italy) and followed the prestigious ECMA Project. The quartet has specialised in contemporary music with Roham de Saram, Irvine Arditti, Lucas Fels, Graeme Jennings, Francesco Dillon, Dimitrios Polisoidis, Helmut Lachenmann, Philippe Manoury, Franck Chevalier. They premiered music by Marco Momi, Ryan Carter, Mayke Nas.

Quartetto Maurice has performed in many important events and festivals: Venice Biennale 2013, Minifest II in Strasbourg, Encontres de Compositors in Mallorca,Tzil Meudcan in Tel Aviv (Israel), Italian Academy of Columbia University in New York, Rassegna Nuova Musica in Macerata, festival Playit and Festival Villa Romana in Florence, International music festival Fajr in Teheran, Jeunesse in Vienna, Open Music in Graz, in Dal Verme Theater in Milan, Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto,Manifest in Paris. Marco Momi, Silvia Borzelli, Ryan Carter and Luiz Casteloes have dedicated new compositions to Maurice Quartet. The independent jury of Kranichstein Music Prize within International Summer Course for New Music Darmstadt 2016 awarded a fellowship to Quartetto Maurice for best interpretation.
